What is a Google Anyway?

In 2017 Google accounted for 18% of ALL global advertising spend (44% of online advertising!). They are an advertising platform and so much more. Companies of all sizes globally not only rely on Google to drive traffic to their websites and businesses, but also to measure their website performance, build their mobile applications and be the primary communication, productivity and administrative platform for small and medium size business.

This class will cover everything that is Google, from their different products available for companies and individuals down to how various organizations are using Google as a marketing and advertising channel. The core focus on this course is Google’s various marketing platforms, which are their primary revenue driver and present company’s with methods to build their presence within Google’s search result pages. We’ll cover at a high level the two primary markeitng tactics companies deploy using Google’s platform: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM or PPC).

When the class is completed, you will have learned the following:

  • Understand how Google (PPC & SEO) can fit into your business strategy.
  • Understand how to get started with Google Analytics for your website.
  • 5 things you can do today to help your business grow.
